About Libre Verdad
We’re a law firm in Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, and most of our work ends up in front of a judge: land disputes, unpaid debts, family cases, broken contracts. When a case needs to go to court, we take it there.
We work in Spanish and English, and we try to explain things the way we’d want them explained to us: what the law says, what your real options are, and how long it’s likely to take.
A litigation firm in Guanacaste
Libre Verdad started with a simple idea: people deserve to understand their own case. Too many clients reach us after months with another office and still can’t tell us what stage their case is in. We don’t want that for anyone.
Our practice covers litigation, real estate and due diligence, family law, corporate work, immigration and residency, notarial services and agrarian law. Most of it involves land, money or family, and often more than one of the three.
Before she studied law, our lead attorney, Andrea Rojas Martínez, spent years working in tourism and hospitality in Costa Rica and abroad. That shaped how the office runs. We pick up the phone, we answer WhatsApp, and we tell you when something is going badly, not just when it’s going well.
The team is three attorneys plus support staff who handle research, filings and follow-up. Between us we deal with the courts, the Registro Nacional, the municipalities and Migración, in person and online.
We’re based in Playas del Coco and take cases across Guanacaste, including Santa Cruz, Nicoya, Filadelfia and Nosara. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8 to 5, and walk-ins are welcome.
